| Međimurje is an area of northeast Croatia that is heavily influenced by the culture of the neighboring Hungarians. On Sundays, young people gather in the village square to meet their friends and sweethearts, to flirt and to dance. These dances are accompanied by a tamburica orchestra and feature humorous songs about village life. | |||
