The Ethnic Heritage Council and Crossroads Bellevue will produce the Twenty-third Annual Cultural Crossroads Festival, November 4-6, at Crossroads Bellevue, located at NE 8th at 156th Ave. NE in Bellevue. The festival will feature some of the area's best ethnic entertainment on two stages, an international bazaar, and exhibits. The event has been the single most popular event in the Crossroads annual calendar of events.
Radost will perform dances from our current repertoire, including dances by kids in the Radost Youth Program.
On October 18th and 19th, renowned Macedonian dancer and teacher, Atanas Kolarovski, will be in Seattle for 2 days of events — a dance workshop and party in his honor. Friday the 18th Atanas will teach Macedonian dances, and Saturday the 19th will be a party in his honor with live music featuring Dragi Spasovski and friends.
Each event has a suggested donation of $15 for adults.
Atanas now spends most of his time in Skopje, or teaches in the Midwest, so this will be one of the few opportunities most of us have to show our appreciation of his talents and gifts of furthering Macedonian dance and music.
Radost will perform an abbreviated version of the 15 minute choreography Atanas set on Radost on 1979: Makedonski Sobor
Line lead by Atanas Kolarovski & Ljupka Kolarova, with Mile Kolarov on the šupelka.
